How it works
Each UTC day we pick five matches from our board, the same way the homepage picks its top matches, and freeze them for the day. Call each one as a home win, a draw or an away win, then lock in your calls. Only then do you see the model's call: the likeliest of its three probabilities, as published before kick-off. A match that kicks off before you call it shows the model's call straight away.
Once the results are in, each right call is a point, for you and for the model. A draw is a call like any other, and the model makes it less often than it happens, which is one place to beat it.
Your calls and your record stay on this device: nothing identifies you, and clearing your browser data clears them. When you lock in, your calls are also counted, anonymously, in the readers' poll on each match page.
The model's own record on every match it has called is on the track record page, and the methodology explains where its numbers come from.
